World Championships 2019
World Championships 2019 will be played according to the Table Hockey Rules and organized according to the Tournament Rules of International Table Hockey Federation and ITHF EC Statement.

At the World Championship represent own country can only players who have been approved by the National Table Hockey Federation of this country and holders of the passport of this country (valid passport from a country listed in Tournament Rule 2.5.iii).
Every nation can send to the World Championship:
8 players for Open category
5 players for Ladies category
5 players for Junior U-18 category (players who born in 2001 and later)
5 players for Veterans 40+ (players who born in 1979 and earlier)

Note: in individual tournaments (Open, Ladies, Juniors and Veterans) bronze matches and the play-offs in Division 2 (3 etc.) play best-of-5, and other matches play-offs play best-of-7.

Special Seniors 50+ category (players who were born in 1969 and earlier) has unlimited number of participants for every nation. The pre-registration deadline is the 1 st of June.
Special Juniors U-13 category (players who born before and in 2006) has unlimited number of participants for every nation. The pre-registration deadline is the1st of June.

* During a tournament at Open Team category up to 10 players can play. At Junior Team, Ladies Team and Veteran Team categories each up to 5 players can play. There is no rule forbidding having different players in team and individual categories.
* Belarus as the organizing country can send to the World Championship 10 players for Open category, 5 players for Ladies, 5 players for Junior and 5 players for Veterans.

Defending champions in each category can participate at the World Championship in addition to limits described above.

Edgars Caics from Latvia has rights to defend his title of the World Champion in Open category.
Irina Vorobieva from Russia has rights to defend her title of the World Champion in Ladies category.
Alexey Titov from Russia has rights to defend his title of the World Champion in Veteran category.

The best 20 players from the overall World Table Hockey Tour ranking of season 2018/2019 will get a direct nomination for the World Championship 2019. Up to 3 players from one nation can get this direct nomination. Direct nomination is not transferable to any player below 20th position at the WT ranking. Of course WTHT direct nominations are valid only if player owns a valid passport from a country listed in Tournament Rule 2.5.iii.
Special Rules
Pucks and goals
All matches in WCh-2019 are held on the new model Stiga 21. All components of this model are also used, including goals gates and original deflectors. An exception may be special scoreboards (goal counters). Also, at all matches of the WCh-2019 can be used only old-style pucks from the Stiga Play-off. New models of the puck on the WCh-2019 are not used.
Playing system – Open
Playing system for Open category basically differs only on the number of groups in the first round.
If number of players is up to 100:
1) players are seeded in to 4 groups for round-robin games;
2) the 15 best players of Groups A and D form Division 1A, but the 15 best players of Groups B and C form Division 1B (60 players in total) where round-robin is played. Mutual results are counted. The next 3 players from each groups form Division 2 (and so on) without counting of mutual results;
3) the best 16 players of Division 1A play in basic play-off against the best 16 players of Division 1B;
4) the best 4 players of Division 2 (and so on) play play-offs for 1st-4th place;
5) the bronze match and the play-offs in Division 2 (3 etc.) play best-of-5, and other matches play-offs play best-of-7.
If number of players is from 101 to 150:
1) players are seeded in to 6 groups for round-robin games;
2) the best 11 players of Groups A, D and E form Division 1A, but the best 11 players of Groups B, C and F form Division 1B (66 players in total) where round-robin is played. Mutual results are counted. The next 3 players from each groups form Division 2 (and so on) without counting of mutual results;
3) the best 16 players of Division 1A play in basic play-off against the best 16 players of Division 1B;
4) the best 4 players of Division 2 (and so on) play play-offs for 1st-4th place;
5) the bronze match and the play-offs in Division 2 (3 etc.) play best-of-5, and other matches play-offs play best-of-7.
Playing system - Teams (all categories)
Playing system for Teams competition keeping sports principle.
In Open Teams tournament team has 5 players. Up to 10 players can be used during tournament.
In Ladies Teams, Junior Teams, Veteran Teams tournaments team has 3 players. Up to 5 players can be used during tournament.
If number of teams is up to 6 (including):
1) simple round-robin tournament;
2) play-off for top 4 teams and placement games.
If number of teams is 7 to 12:
1) teams are seeded in to 2 groups of equal strength and groups round-robin tournament is played;
2) top 4 teams of every group play in basic play-off, but other teams play placement play-off.
If number of teams is 13 to 16:
1) teams are seeded in to 4 groups of equal strength and groups round-robin tournament is played;
2) top 2 teams of group A play against top 2 teams of group D (form Division 1A; mutual games are counted);
top 2 teams of group B play against top 2 teams of group C (form Division 1B; mutual games are counted);
other 2 teams of group A play against other 2 teams of group D (form Division 2A; mutual games are counted);
other 2 teams of group B play against other 2 teams of group C (form Division 2B; mutual games are counted);
3) play-off in Division 1 is played for 1st-8th place, play-off in Division 2 is played for places 9th-16th.
Playing system - Juniors, Veterans, Ladies
There is common playing system for Juniors, Veterans and Ladies categories.
If number of players in a tournament is less than 24:
1) all players play group (round-robin) games;
2) play-offs for 1st-8th place;
3) the bronze match play best-of-5, and other matches play-offs play best-of-7.
If number of players is between 24 and 40 (including):
1) players are seeded into 2 qualification groups.
2) after group (round-robin) games, the best 10 players from both groups form Division 1, the next 10 players of groups form Division 2, where they plays round-robin against players of other group. Division 1 mutual results from qualification group are counted, Division 2 mutual results are counted if there are more than 10 players.
3) the best 8 players of Division 1 play play-offs for 1st-8th place. In other Divisions the best 4 players play play-offs for 1st-4th place.
4) the bronze match and the play-offs in Division 2 (3 etc.) play best-of-5, and other matches play-offs play best-of-7.
If number of players is between 41 and 60 (including):
1) players are seeded into 4 qualification groups.
2) after group (round-robin) games, the best 6 players from each groups form Division 1, the next 3 players of groups form Division 2 (and so on), where they plays round-robin against players of other group. Division 1 and 2 mutual results from qualification group are counted, Division 3 (and so on) mutual results are counted if there are more than 10 players.
3) the best 8 players of Division 1 play play-offs for 1st-8th place. In other Divisions the best 4 players play play-offs for 1st-4th place;
4) the bronze match and the play-offs in Division 2 (3 etc.) play best-of-5, and other matches play-offs play best-of-7.
Playing system - Juniors U13, Seniors 50+
Tournament system will be made according to a number of players. Tournaments will be 3-3.5h long. Payment for participation in the tournament from juniors -13 - 7 euro, from veterans 50+ - 15 euro.
